Wordsearch Bible Is Transitioning to Logos

Faithlife, a church technology company and creators of Logos Bible Software, today announced its acquisition of Wordsearch Bible from LifeWay Christian Resources. The agreement represents an expansion of the long-term relationship between LifeWay and Faithlife that will enrich the experiences of Logos and Wordsearch users alike.

Beginning immediately, Wordsearch customers will receive Logos-compatible editions of most of the titles they own in their Wordsearch library, as well as a comparable version of Logos, at no charge. Additionally, Logos users will be able to purchase thousands of new Logos-compatible resources from the B&H catalog, which provides Bibles, academic commentaries, Spanish resources, and content from influential faith leaders including Charles Spurgeon, Beth Moore, Tony Evans, John Piper, Jackie Hill Perry, Timothy Keller, and Rick Warren, to name a few.

“We are excited to be bringing Wordsearch users onto the Logos platform, and to be partnering with LifeWay,” said Faithlife Cofounder and CEO Bob Pritchett. “Between the incredible Bible study technology available through Logos and the resources offered by LifeWay and B&H, users will be able to do even more powerful Bible study.”

“We recognize Faithlife as a world-class company and the leader in Bible software solutions,” said Ben Mandrell, president and CEO of Lifeway. “We want our customers to have the best user experience in the world when they engage with our content, and Faithlife’s commitment to providing high-quality Bible study software is second to none. They are in a unique position to protect the investment each customer has made in Wordsearch content and ensure that the resources and tools they rely on remain central to their study and sermon preparation for years to come.”

The acquisition expands a long-term relationship between Faithlife and LifeWay as Faithlife continues to develop essential technology tools for leaders, and LifeWay continues to publish books, Bibles, Bible study tools, and reference materials for church leaders to help them fuel their ministries.

“Bringing Wordsearch users to Logos Bible Software is certainly a cause for celebration,” said Faithlife Vice President of Bible Study Products Phil Gons. “The new content available to both Wordsearch and Logos users will be a great aid to their Bible study and sermon preparation, and we are grateful that LifeWay is equally thrilled about what this means for everyone who studies the Bible.”
