How Logos 6 Bridges Bible Study Gaps

Crossing the bridgeBridges provide the shortest (or safest) path from one point to another. Without them, alternative paths could take hours, days, or even weeks of travel to get where you need to go. How do you cross a gap without a bridge? You work around it—however long it takes.

Logos 6 creates a shortcut from wherever you are in your Bible study to wherever you want to go. Whether you’re wrestling with Greek or Hebrew, or just trying to figure out what a verse might mean. You know what you’re looking for. It’s over there, on the other side of a massive gap in knowledge or time.

Cross language gaps

If you want to learn Greek or Hebrew, Logos 6 has tools to help you do that. But not everyone has the time or patience to fumble their way through ancient languages. That’s where features like the reverse interlinear come into play. Without ever leaving your English Bible, you can draw out the underlying Greek and Hebrew words or phrases, and see where else they appear in Scripture.

Get where you’re going, faster

One of the single greatest benefits of Logos 6 is time. Like a bridge, the hundreds of tools we’ve built into Logos 6 are designed to take you where you need to go, faster. What would normally take hours of study can take seconds with Logos 6. Prioritize the commentaries, dictionaries, and Bible study tools you use and trust the most, and pull all the information your library has to offer about . . . anything! That means that when you’re stuck and you don’t know where to go next, you don’t have to dig through references, footnotes, and endnotes to find what you need to keep going—Logos does that for you.

Make your journey to insight faster.

Add new tools to your Bible study

If you already have Logos Bible Software, but haven’t upgraded to Logos 6 yet, you’re missing out on even more ways to get what you need, faster. With the brand-new Ancient Literature Tool, Logos 6 helps you reach across the centuries to see how Scripture interacts with ancient literature. Now when you search a verse in the Passage Guide, you’ll find clear connections between that verse and works by the Apostolic Fathers, Philo, and others, plus the Talmud, the Mishna, Judaica literature, and more.

Choose the structure that’s right for you

Logos 6 has more options than Logos has ever had before. We believe that you know where you are and where you’d like to go, so we let you decide the path that’s right for you. For some, that means getting the basics. For others, it means growing their library. But what if you want all the features Logos 6 has to offer, without all the new books? It might be time for you to upgrade to the Logos 6 Feature Crossgrade. It builds the Logos 6 framework on top of the library you already have. That means all the Logos 6 datasets, media features, and Interactives become Bible study tools you can depend on when you need help.

If you own a Logos base package, you’ll save 15% on Logos 6 Feature Crossgrade, plus an additional discount for the tools you already own.

Without the right resources, your features will not be as valuable to you. For example, the Ancient Literature Tool will not show you links to “the Apostolic Fathers, Philo, and others, plus the Talmud, the Mishna, Judaica literature, and more” unless you own those resources. Hi Barbara. This post is saying that Logos Bible Software serves as a bridge. What that bridge looks like depends on the features you’re using. Some of the features mentioned (such as the Ancient Literature tool) are only available in Logos 6. If you only want new features, a Logos 6 Crossgrade may be the best option for you. The Logos 6 Core Crossgrade is the lowest priced option, but it does not give you all of the new features. If you want them all, you will need the Feature Crossgrade. You can compare the features here:

I hope this helps, and please let me know if you have any further questions.
